Greetings from the end of the world

Hello there,

Greetings from the end of the world!

As you read this, I’ll be deep in another adventure, waking up in the white continent, preparing for a day shaped by ice, wind, and the ever-changing moods of the ocean.

But this time, it’s more than just Antarctica.

I’ll also be exploring the Falkland/Malvinas Islands, South Georgia, and, for something I’ve secretly dreamed about for years, I’ll be sailing from Ushuaia to Cape Verde, crossing the last of the geographical circles I have left.

Out here, life slows down.

Everything that usually feels urgent fades into the background.

There’s no endless to-do list.

No notifications.

No noise.

Just one simple question: Where are we going today?

Suddenly, the only decisions that matter are practical:

  • Do I need an extra layer of thermals?

  • Should I pack another pair of gloves?

  • What’s the weather doing?

Life becomes incredibly simple, but also, in many ways, incredibly real.

Because when everything external is stripped away, all that’s left is:

How you relate to yourself. How you relate to the people around you.

There’s no escape.

No running off to be alone.

No disappearing into your phone.

Just you, the people you live and work with, and the challenge of navigating human relationships in a confined space for two months straight.

It’s raw, revealing, and sometimes uncomfortable.

But it also teaches you a lot, about boundaries, patience, connection, and the way people show up when they have no distractions to hide behind.

I’ve learned that some of the most unexpected people become your strongest connections.

And some people remind you exactly who you don’t want to be.

Either way, it’s a mirror.

And if you’re willing to look, you learn a hell of a lot about yourself.

So, let me ask you, when was the last time you put yourself in a situation where you had nowhere to hide?

And what did you learn about yourself in the process?

Hit reply, I’d love to hear.

Thanks for reading 🖤

Aitana
