One Month In
Hello there,
One month in.
By now, I should be used to the rhythm of life at sea.
But here’s the thing, the ocean doesn’t care about your plans.
You can map out every landing, every schedule, every perfect itinerary… and then the weather changes, the wind picks up, or the ice shifts.
And suddenly, you’re reminded who’s actually in charge.
It’s humbling.
And a little frustrating.
But mostly?
It’s a lesson in adaptability.
Out here, you don’t resist change.
You move with it.
You learn to let go of control, focus on what you can influence, and trust that you’ll adjust.
And at some point, something clicks.
You stop seeing disruptions as problems and start seeing them as opportunities.
A shift in schedule means a new landing site you hadn’t planned for.
A storm forces you inside, and you end up in conversations you never expected.
The plan changes, and suddenly, you realize the detour was the adventure all along.
And it makes me wonder—how often do we cling to rigid expectations in everyday life?
How much time do we waste fighting the inevitable instead of flowing with it?
How many “problems” are really just opportunities we haven’t learned to recognize yet?
So let me ask you:
Where in your life are you trying to force a plan when you should be adapting instead?
And what’s one “problem” you could start seeing as an opportunity?
Hit reply—I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks for reading 🖤,
Aitana
