Are you hurting?
Hello, Greetings from my car 🚗, where I've found solace parked by the ocean today! Sometimes, the best writing spot is wherever the mind finds peace, right?.
In today's newsletter you will find:

A reflection
Often, amidst life's hustle, our own inner voice gets drowned out. I invite you to carve out a few minutes each day for silence—no phone, no music, just you and your thoughts. Your brain may resist at first, but after a few days, you'll feel the benefits. It doesn't have to be in any particular setup; it can be as simple as waiting for the bus, walking back home from work, or grabbing a coffee at your favorite café. Try it out and report back.
A challenging thought
Let’s talk about the discomfort of pursuing what truly matters.
The truth is, there's a greater pain than not pursuing our desires—it's committing to them and then faltering.
Don’t believe me?
There is a marathon in a year time. You have two options, you can decide to run it, or your can decide not to run it.
If you decide against, everything is well. The thought vanishes and you keep going with your life, end of story.
Let’s say you decide you want to run that marathon. You make a plan, organise your calendar, your training days, your food.
The first week goes smoothly, but as time progresses, you find yourself struggling to stick to the plan.
Soon, you're not just battling fatigue but also the nagging voice in your head, labeling you a failure. We've all been there, haven't we?
It's not just about the pain of doing the work; it's about the agony of not doing it when we said we would. What a mind mess indeed!
Sometimes, it feels like we'd be better off not committing at all, doesn't it?
An encouragement
I grant you permission to audit your goals. Take some time for yourself to evaluate what you're pursuing and why. Be ruthless. If something doesn't align or brings unnecessary pain, it's okay to let it go—for now. Remember, it's not about quitting forever but about honoring your capacity to commit fully when the time is right. Embrace the journey, even if it's bumpy, and relish in the beautiful struggle of chasing your dreams.
